The Bantry Bay Hotel
In the centre of Bantry there is a large square called Wolfe Tone Square and overlooking this square is the Bantry Bay Hotel. The square is within walking distance of all the shops, pubs and restaurants in Bantry and for this reason alone you should…

consider staying here.  Park the car, stroll to dinner and then get stuck into a few bars.

Maybe a pint in JJ Crowley’s or the Anchor bar (for a full list of bars in Bantry visit http://www.bantry.ie/bars/bantry_barsbantry.htm#) before walking back to the Bantry Bay. The Bantry Bay hotel is small, only having 14 bedrooms, all with en-suite, tea/coffee making facilities, multi channel TV., telephone and hairdryer. But its not the bedrooms that will bring you here, because if you are going to enjoy Bantry you will be drawn down to the award winning maritime theme bar downstairs or the great restaurant on-site that offers genuinely good food. And from there you are drawn into the heart of Bantry town on your doorstep. And that is the key advantage of the Bantry Bay Hotel - its location.

The hotel façade is lovely, and this Cork Hotel has that family run feel, having been in the O’Callaghan family since 1946, so you have to ask yourself why bother staying anywhere else ? If you are asking that question then the Maritime Hotel might provide the answer.
